Student-directed black box show, ‘No Exit,’ opens on ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Armstrong Campus on Oct. 3
ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Armstrong Campus’ student-run theater group, The Masquers, will present “No Exit,” its first black box show of the season. The show will run Oct. 3 through Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 6 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12 for general admission and discounts are available for military, seniors and children. ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ students, faculty and staff attend for free.
ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ hosts 2019-20 A Moveable Feast lecture series in Savannah
ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ will host the 2019-20 Moveable Feast lecture series, featuring lectures and performances by distinguished faculty from the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses. The sixth annual series is presented by the College of Arts and Humanities, in cooperation with the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, and will kick off Oct. 10. All events will take place in historic venues throughout Savannah and are free and open to the public.

Southern Chorale brings home awards from Austria, Germany
ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s Southern Chorale recently completed an 18-day tour of Austria and Germany, where they competed in two international choral competitions.
ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ faculty present research in Canada
This past July, four ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ faculty members presented at the 30th International Nursing Research Congress in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Conference, presented by Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, is held annually in different countries to provide attendees with the opportunity to learn from and exchange evidence-based research.

Taggart, Mahan and Rochani presented “Changes in Baccalaureate Nursing Students’ Perceptions about Caring for Dying Patients.†Embrey, Taggart and Rochani presented “Stress and Mindfulness in Nursing Students.â€
More than 1,200 nurse researchers, students, clinicians and leaders attended this year’s event.
Diagnostic and therapeutic sciences students awarded scholarships
Two students in the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Sciences have received the Mary Howden Gibson and Lois Gaddis Hamilton Memorial Scholarships from St. Joseph’s Candler Hospital Auxiliary, a part of the St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System.
Minhthu Huyen, a senior cardiovascular interventional science major, and Danielle Pentecost, senior respiratory therapy major, both received the award, which provides support for promising students who are accepted into a health professions or medical training program in Chatham County, Georgia.
The Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Sciences is housed in the Waters College of Health Professions and offers undergraduate degrees in medical laboratory science, radiologic sciences and respiratory therapy.

The Master of Science in Sport Management was ranked No. 14 on Sport Management Degree Guide’s list of “25 Best Online Master’s in Sports Management Degree Programs.â€
The Master of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in sport and exercise psychology was ranked No. 20 on Online Psychology Degrees’ list of “Online Psychology Degrees Top Graduate Degree Programs.â€
