PwC Network executive to lead this year’s Fries Lecture

Carol Sawdye, chief operating officer of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Network, will present the 2019 Norman Fries Lecture, the first event in the inaugural Parker Talks speaker series, hosted by أغجاض±²¥â€™s Parker College of Business.

The أغجاض±²¥ Parker College of Business online Master of Science in Applied Economics (MSAE) has been recognized as one of the five best online master’s programs in economics for 2020.

أغجاض±²¥ presents â€کOur Lost Years’ screening, Q&A at annual Mark Finlay Memorial Lecture on Sept. 26

This year’s Mark Finlay Memorial Lecture, hosted by the College of Arts and Humanities at أغجاض±²¥, will be held on Sept. 26. Mr. Lane Nishikawa, director and producer of the film, “Our Lost Years,â€‌ will introduce the film’s screening, which will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Armstrong Center Auditorium on the Armstrong Campus. The event is free and open to the public with a Q&A and reception to follow.

“On the Verge” concert series makes Armstrong Campus debut

أغجاض±²¥â€™s On the Verge concert series devoted to contemporary art music, will feature The Bold City Contemporary Ensemble, on Sept. 10 at 7:30 p.m. on the Armstrong Campus in Savannah in the Fine Arts Auditorium. This is the first performance of the On the Verge series on the Armstrong Campus.

From Aug. 1, 2018 to July 31, 2019, أغجاض±²¥ students performed 46,415 community service hours. The hours had an estimated monetary impact of $932,104.

A new report shows أغجاض±²¥ has increased its annual economic impact of more than $1 billion on the region it serves. The report, released by the University System of Georgia, says أغجاض±²¥ is a significant part of the system’s $17.7 billion economic impact on the state of Georgia in FY 2018.
