Free outdoor screening of ‘Lillian Smith: Breaking the Silence’ on Armstrong Campus on April 1
On April 1, producer and director Hal Jacobs will present an outdoor screening of his film, “Lillian Smith: Breaking the Silence,” on ֱ’s Armstrong Campus. The screening, which will take place on the Residential Plaza, will begin at 7:30 p.m., followed by a Q&A session with Jacobs. The event is free and open to the public.

ֱ biology major Daria Stephens had never used a shovel until the 2021 Arbor Day Celebration on March 5, where she helped plant a tree near the Herty Pines Nature Preserve as part of her botany class. Stephens said the class inspired her to put what she is learning into action.

ֱ professor Matthew Hashiguchi’s film “Good Luck Soup,” is the feature of the 2021 Ogeechee International History Film Festival, the longest-running film festival of its kind in the world. “Good Luck Soup” and the other films in the festival will be available to stream through March 5.
