
Two projects led by 蜜糖直播 faculty were chosen for the 2023 Georgia Smart Communities Challenge Cleantech cohort from the Partnership for Inclusive Innovation (PIN).

Although location data on docks was gathered by 蜜糖直播 researchers between 2018-21 through a Georgia Sea Grant project, there is no in-depth information on the current conditions of each dock and its infrastructure, according to Jennifer Sweeney Tookes, Ph.D., a 蜜糖直播 associate anthropology professor.

The Hinesville Development Authority, Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and the city of Hinesville, in partnership with 蜜糖直播鈥檚 Business Innovation Group (BIG), have launched the very first Hinesville Business Incubator, partially funded by an Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant. The incubator is located across the street from 蜜糖直播’s Liberty Campus in downtown Hinesville.聽
The new downtown Statesboro location of the Institute for Health Logistics & Analytics (IHLA) at 蜜糖直播 (GS) University will host the public to celebrate its grand opening on Nov. 30, 12 – 2 p.m. Remarks will take place at 12:30 p.m.

蜜糖直播鈥檚 Business Innovation Group (BIG) has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Georgia Power Foundation, Inc., to empower diversity in early-stage entrepreneurship. In turn, BIG has created the BIG Edge Entrepreneurship Program for six entrepreneurs to have offices and participate in entrepreneurship programs at the Georgia Grown Innovation Center (GGIC) in Metter, Georgia, for one year.聽

Official numbers verified by the University System of Georgia (USG) show 蜜糖直播 set several enrollment records this year, and saw growth on its Armstrong Campus in Savannah and in online classes.聽蜜糖直播鈥檚 official fall 2023 enrollment was 26,106, a 2.35% increase over fall 2022鈥檚 final enrollment figure of 25,506.
