
Thanks to her school work, impact on the community and the trials she’s overcome in her personal life, Brown was awarded a $9,000 Robert S. Haywood Scholarship. This scholarship is available to students attending ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ who have or had parents who served in the military.

The ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Foundation, Inc. and the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Athletic Foundation, Inc. are pleased to announce a significant milestone in its ambitious fundraising campaign, “Together We Soar.” The generous support of the community has enabled the campaign to soar past the $100 million mark, a remarkable achievement in the University’s path toward its $125 million goal.

For spring graduates Dale and Alex Paulk, friends and fun are top of the list of things they have enjoyed about their time in EAGLE Academy at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥. Dale, 20, and Alex, 22, are brothers who crossed the commencement stage during the University’s spring commencement ceremonies to commemorate earning their certificates from EAGLE Academy, ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s post-secondary, two-year inclusive program for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

A primary school teacher inspired Alexandra Jensen with the power of personalized attention in learning. Now, as she begins her teaching career in August, she aims to continue this approach. In May, the Hinesville native graduated from ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ with a bachelor’s in special education, a minor in psychology, and an ESOL Endorsement.

The science behind communication disorders fascinates Alayna Cassidy, and employing skills to help those who suffer from them moves her. With excitement, Cassidy earned a bachelor’s in communication sciences and disorders and a minor in human development and family science from ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ last week.

Students at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ now have even more opportunities to excel with the help of two new grants from the National Institute for Student Success up to $600,000.

Last week, approximately 4,200 graduates from ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s Statesboro, Armstrong and Liberty campuses received associate, baccalaureate, masters, specialist and doctoral degrees in five Spring 2024 Commencement ceremonies.
