2023 Mark Finlay Memorial Lecture Series hosts Pulitzer Prize-winning art critic  Jerry Saltz on Nov. 9

Saltz will soon come to ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s Armstrong Campus as part of the Mark Finlay Memorial Lecture Series. His 60-minute lecture, “The Art World Problem,” will be at the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Armstrong Campus on Nov. 9 at 6 p.m.

The College of Arts and Humanities will host the latest installment of its “Moveable Feast†lecture series on Oscar Wilde. The event is on Monday, Nov. 13, at 6 p.m.. at the Savannah Theatre, located at 222 Bull Street in Savannah.

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥, one of the top-ranked colleges in the Southeastern U.S., today announced the opening of the newly renovated Gus Mart convenience store – now featuring Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology – in the Fielding D. Russell Union on its Statesboro campus. The debut of the technology makes ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ the first university in the state to feature Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology, which provides a streamlined, checkout-free shopping experience. The store will operate with extended hours, allowing guests to better shop when it’s easiest for them.

Jones began her musical journey with the violin at just four years old, and later embraced singing and exploring a multitude of instruments.
The concert series will begin with the Contemporary Vocal Ensemble on Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m. and continue with the Commercial Music Ensemble on Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. The final performance will showcase the Percussion Ensemble on Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. 

A tale of two warriors: lessons from overcoming breast cancer

Their journeys, while unique, highlight the importance of early detection, support systems and resilience in the face of adversity.

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ receives $1.5M grant from U.S. Army medical research and development to enhance soldier performance and readiness

The ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Soldier Performance and Readiness (SPAR) program received a $1.5 million, two-year grant from the Department of Defense’s U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command. The grant will expand Georgia’s Southern research and programming capacity in injury prevention techniques that ensure force readiness for the Army.
