Fueling Innovation: ֱ secures U.S. Department of Energy contract for groundbreaking sustainable energy research
The Thermo-Fluidic Systems Laboratory at ֱ’s Allen E. Paulson College of Engineering and Computing has been awarded a contract totaling almost $180,000 from the U.S. Department of Energy to address technological challenges aimed at enhancing the efficiency of power generation in power plants.
Sevki Cesmeci, Ph.D., an associate professor of mechanical engineering, will serve as the sole principal investigator for the project.

ֱ officials cut a ceremonial ribbon to open the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center, affectionately known as “The Hill,” in a celebration on Dec. 4. At 95,000 square feet, it is the largest event venue space between Savannah and Macon and serves as the signature building on the University’s south campus, fronting Veterans Memorial Parkway (US 301 Bypass).
