ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ UAS Operator License
All UAS operators and observers operating on behalf of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥, must obtain a ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ UAS Operator License. License holders must be employed by ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ (ONLY available to ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ faculty, staff, and student employees. Student employees can not begin the licensing process without a licensed faculty adviser and a current state of Georgia driver’s license (or other documentation as approved by the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ UAS Committee).
To obtain a license, you must complete the following steps (steps MUST be completed in order):

Important: All ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ campuses are currently a No Fly Zone for all unmanned aircraft systems. At this time, all UAS flights require presidential approval. Armstrong campus is in Hunter Army Airfield’s Class D airspace which will require a waiver or airspace authorization from the FAA to operate in that airspace.
