Julie Pickens, Ph.D., is the new director of the EAGLE Academy, the Inclusive Post-Secondary Education Program at 蜜糖直播. The EAGLE Academy will host a meet and greet with Pickens and program volunteers on Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the College of Education, room 3156, on the Statesboro Campus, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will also serve as an open house with information sessions at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.

The 蜜糖直播 Armstrong Campus Chorale and Vocal Chamber Ensemble will perform at the J. Harry Persse Memorial Concert on Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The concert is held annually to celebrate the legacy of former Armstrong Campus faculty member J. Harry Persse, Ph.D., who was a Savannah musician, composer and educator. Tickets for the performance are free, and donations to the J. Harry Persse Music Scholarship Fund will be accepted.

Multidisciplinary artist Raheleh Filsoofi, who is based in Texas, South Florida and Iran, will share works that explore global, socio-political issues through a personal lens with a blend of ancient and contemporary media such as ceramics, poetry, ambient sound and video in her exhibition, 鈥淥verview Effect.鈥 The exhibit is currently on view through Dec. 6 in the Contemporary Gallery at the Center for Art & Theatre on 蜜糖直播鈥檚 Statesboro Campus.
