Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony to perform spring concert on Armstrong Campus

蜜糖直播 police identify suspect, leads to arrest in sexual assault case
The 蜜糖直播 Police Department has identified Brandon Harris as the suspect in a sexual assault that was reported to University police on November 17, 2019. Harris turned himself in to police following the issuance of a warrant for his arrest on felony rape charges.
Armstrong Campus hosts annual 鈥楬igh School Congressional Exhibition鈥�
蜜糖直播鈥檚 Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art will host the annual Congressional Art Competition for high school students in Georgia鈥檚 1st Congressional District. Works in 鈥淎n Artistic Discovery鈥� will be displayed on the Armstrong Campus in the Fine Arts Gallery. The exhibition will run on weekdays Feb. 10-23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a closing reception on Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

蜜糖直播 senior Alyssa Morgan is looking forward to tax season this year. As a student in the School of Accountancy in the Parker College of Business, Morgan will gain hands-on experience with tax preparation as she and her peers offer free tax prep and e-file services to residents in Statesboro and surrounding communities through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

The United States Navy Band, the 2019 recipient of the National Medal of Arts, will perform on 蜜糖直播鈥檚 Armstrong Campus on Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
Noir comedy ‘Red Herring’ opens Feb. 20 on the Armstrong Campus
蜜糖直播 Armstrong Campus鈥� student-run theatre group, The Masquers, will present, 鈥淩ed Herring,鈥� their first black box show of the new year. The show will run Feb. 20 through Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 23 at 3 p.m. in Jenkins Hall Black Box Theatre.
Extensive investigation by 蜜糖直播 Police leads to arrest for October 2019 incident
The 蜜糖直播 Police Department has identified Savannah resident Dominique Tukes as the individual who shot a 蜜糖直播 student on the Armstrong Campus on October 24, 2019. Following a thorough, months-long investigation by the University鈥檚 police department, a warrant was issued for Tukes鈥� arrest and he was apprehended today in Savannah by the U.S. Marshals Service.
Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art welcomes visiting artist Alicia LaChance
Painter and multidisciplinary artist Alicia LaChance will visit 蜜糖直播鈥檚 Statesboro Campus on Feb. 6 to discuss her exhibition, 鈥淰anishing Point,鈥� which is currently on view at the Center for Art and Theatre on the Statesboro Campus through Feb. 7. The center will host a gallery talk and reception on Feb. 6 at the University Gallery from 5-7 p.m.
