ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Libraries has been designated as a Patent and Trademark Resource Center by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. PTRCs comprise a network of 84 libraries nationwide that disseminate patent and trademark information and support the diverse intellectual property needs of the public. 

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ partners with Fort Stewart and Georgia National Guard for soldier injury prevention training, retention

On Nov. 5, ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ President Kyle Marrero signed a memorandum of agreement with Fort Stewart and Georgia National Guard leaders to provide soldier injury prevention training through the University’s Soldier Athlete Human Performance Program.

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ named an Innovation and Economic Prosperity University

In recognition of its strong commitment to economic engagement, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities has designated ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ as an Innovation and Economic Prosperity University. The national designation acknowledges public research universities working with public and private sector partners in their states and regions to support economic development through a variety of activities, including innovation and entrepreneurship, technology transfer, talent and workforce development, and community development.

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ institute earns two OSHA grants to mitigate COVID-19 and educate Georgia’s agricultural community

The U.S. Department of Labor-Occupational Safety and Health Administration has awarded the Institute for Health Logistics & Analytics at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ two grants totaling more than $310,000 to provide training and education to help agribusiness owners and agricultural workers in Georgia.

Community to bid for student-designed sculptures; metal eagle up for grabs

In November, the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art (BFSDoArt) will display this series of steel sculptures along the Willie McTell Trail in downtown Statesboro. One student’s design shows just how strong her True Blue blood runs. After growing up doing origami with her siblings, she applied those practices to turning a metal sheet into a metal eagle.

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ students combine past and present works for new art exhibition in November

In an upcoming ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ exhibition, “Figure It Out,†the audience will traverse a variety of mediums that include charcoal drawings, fibers, sculpture, digital and acrylic paintings. The show will run from Nov. 2 through Nov. 30, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Armstrong Campus Fine Arts Gallery.Â
