RiteCare Center, communication disorders students receive financial awards from Scottish Rite Masons

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s RiteCare Center for Communication Disorders recently received a boost from the Scottish Rite Masons when the organization made an $11,500 donation to the center. The group also awarded two scholarships to graduate students in the Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSDS) program.

Utilizing its newly launched Virtual Collaboration Center, ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ will host a No Builds Tournament featuring Fortnite on Friday, March 29. The event, sponsored by Bulloch Solutions, is the first event of its kind on ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s Statesboro Campus. Students can use the state-of-the-art computers in the Eagle’s Edge Arena and compete with one another for a chance to win part of a $430 prize pool, including in-game currency and Tech Corner gift cards.

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ receives national recognition for Eagle Engage from NASPA

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ has received even more national recognition from the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA).  Eagle Engage, the University’s portal for featured student events and involvement opportunities as well as student organizations and service opportunities, was chosen as a 2023-24 Excellence Award winner (Silver Level) in the Assessment, Persistence, Data Analytics category.  

Nick Dillon recognized with ASME ICEF Research Award and admitted to AFCS Pathway Program upon graduation

Nick Dillon is a Warner Robins, Georgia, native who is anything but average. 

Dillon is on track to graduate magna cum laude from ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s Honors College in May as a Goel Scholar with a degree in mechanical engineering. He won one of two prestigious American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Internal Combustion Engine Forward (ICEF) Conference undergraduate research awards from entries nationwide.

Georgia Military College and ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ provide pathways for post-Bachelor-level degree pursuits

In the spirit of academic cooperation, Georgia Military College (GMC) and ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ (GSU) have solidified an articulation agreement, emphasizing their commitment to academic collaboration. The agreement streamlines the transition of GMC Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) graduates into graduate programs offered at GS through the Jack N. Averitt College of Graduate Studies, the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health, and the Parker College of Business.
