Karelle Aiken, Ph.D., and Jannet Kocerha, Ph.D., are using a $424,000 grant to pursue new cancer drug treatments. The goal is to overcome various barriers that impact the effectiveness of cancer therapeutics by exploiting a cancer cell鈥檚 dependency on unusually high levels of amino acids nutrients.聽

A noted 蜜糖直播 public health professor has earned a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award in All Disciplines to Latvia for the 2023-2024 academic year from the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.
Yelena N. Tarasenko, DrPH, is a professor at the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Environmental Health Sciences at 蜜糖直播鈥檚 Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health. Her Fulbright project is titled 鈥淪trengthening research and teaching capacity in cancer prevention globally.鈥�
