Acclaimed dance company Hubbard Street 2 at Performing Arts Center on Feb. 2
One of the country’s most exciting dance companies is coming to the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥.
Hubbard Street 2 will perform at the PAC on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 7:30 p.m.
Based in Chicago, Hubbard Street 2 is a company of dancers between the ages of 17 and 25 who perform a repertoire of work by many of the nation’s most promising choreographers.
With a desire to expose its audience to a wide variety of dance techniques, movement styles and artistic approaches, Hubbard Street 2 strives to perform an eclectic body of work, with an emphasis on new creation.
Tickets for Hubbard Street 2 are $30 per person for the general public. ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ faculty, staff and students will receive a $5 discount for each ticket.
In addition, if any tickets are available 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the performance, any ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ student with a valid University I.D. can purchase one ticket for $10.
Hubbard Street 2 was founded in 1997 as part of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, which has been a most respected force in contemporary dance for three decades. Consisting of six full company members and two apprentices, Hubbard Street 2 reaches more than 35,000 each year through performances in schools, community centers and theaters.
In the process, it has emerged as a respected training ground for professional dancers and choreographers.
The PAC is located on the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ campus at the corner of Chandler Road and Plant Drive. The box office is open every Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The box office is also open one hour prior to the start of each performance.
